Information below is for the Nov 3, 2020 Election (The Big One!)
Sep 18, 2020 (Friday) - Overseas & Military Voting (done via absentee ballot) begins
Oct 5, 2020 (Monday) - Deadline to Register to Vote (County Board of Elections Offices are open until 9pm)
Oct 6, 2020 (Tuesday) - Early, in-person (at County Board of Elections) begins. For Schedule/Hours click here
Oct 6, 2020 (Tuesday) - County Board of Elections starts mailing absentee ballots to those who have requested them.
Oct 6, 2020 (Tuesday) - Absentee ballots may now be submitted at you County Board of Elections (either in their offices during hours of operation OR at the BOE drop box available 24 hours/day.
Oct 31, 2020 (Saturday) @ Noon - Deadline to request an absentee ballot (must be received by the County BOE by noon). I DO NOT recommend requesting an absentee ballot after October 6. At that point, you are better off voting early, in person if you are able to.
Nov 2, 2020 (Monday) @ 2pm - Deadline for Early, in-person voting at the County Board of Elections.
Nov 2, 2020 (Monday) - Deadline to mail in absentee ballots. Must be postmarked (NOT metered) by Nov 2, 2020. If you don't get your absentee ballot in the mail by this deadline, you or a near family relative can still deliver it in person at your county BOE until 7:30pm on election day.
Nov 2, 2020 (Monday) - Deadline to mail in overseas or military ballots. Must be mailed by midnight on Nov 2 in the time zone you are voting from.
Nov 3, 2020 (Tuesday) - Election Day.
Polls are open 6:30am - 7:30pm.
Absentee ballots can be dropped off at the county BOE until 7:30pm.
Nov 13, 2020 (Friday) - Last day for county BOE to receive ballots (must be postmarked by Nov 2). After this day, no ballots received will count. It does not matter if you mailed it on time and it got lost or otherwise.
