W. Kamau Bell, who dropped it into his answer to the question, "What can we do?" in a video conversation with
Conan O'Brien. When Conan asked the question, Bell first responded by clarifying that he assumes by "we" Conan means "white people." Bell then goes on to explain that "we need white people to not only do the work, but to show their work."
